Haven Health Management is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic

Junior ICT Network & Systems Technician

to join our ICT team. This entry-level dual role provides exposure to both

ICT end-user support

and

network administration

, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to develop a strong foundation in ICT systems, networking, and support within a healthcare environment. The role is ideal for someone who is passionate about technology, eager to learn, and looking to grow into a specialized ICT career.

REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Grade 12 or equivalent. At least 3 years of experience in ICT support. Knowledge of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, IP addressing, routing, switching). Familiarity with installing and troubleshooting hardware and software. Certifications such as CompTIA A+ / Network+. Exposure to Microsoft Windows environments and Office 365. Awareness of ICT security practices.

The successful candidates will be responsible for, including, but not limited to the following:

User & Systems Support

Provide first-line support for hardware, software, and network-related issues. Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Support users in effectively using ICT tools and systems. Maintain accurate records of support requests and solutions.

Network Support

Assist in monitoring and maintaining LAN, WAN, wireless, and VPN systems. Help configure basic network equipment such as switches, routers, and firewalls. Support ICT team in troubleshooting network performance issues. Learn and apply best practices in ICT and network security.

Collaboration & Learning

Work closely with senior ICT staff, external vendors, and service providers. Participate in ICT-related projects as a support resource. Stay updated with emerging technologies and continuously build technical knowledge.

KEY COMPETENCIES/ SKILLS

Strong willingness to learn and develop new technical skills. Good problem-solving and analytical ability. Effective time management and ability to prioritize tasks. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. A proactive, positive, and team-oriented mindset. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
