Position: Millwright - Plant Maintenance / Industrial Maintenance Technician

Location: Viljoenskroon, Free State - Must be willing to reside in or live near the town. Housing assistance will be provided.

Languages: Must be able to communicate well in Afrikaans and English. Other languages could be beneficial.

Job Summary:

The Plant Maintenance Employee will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance, repairs, and new installations within the plant. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience and skills in maintenance work, particularly in boiler-maker type tasks. While formal qualifications are not mandatory, a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience is required. The role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of machinery and equipment.

Undertake new installations as required, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.

Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and troubleshoot issues promptly.

Execute tasks related to welding, fabrication, and other boiler-maker type activities.

Participate in preventive maintenance activities to minimize downtime and prolong equipment lifespan.

Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.

Liaise with suppliers and contractors as needed for parts, materials, and external support.

Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum of 4 years of practical experience in maintenance, with a focus on boiler-maker type tasks.

Experience with Milling Operations and/or Farming environments will be beneficial.

Ability to demonstrate hands-on experience and skill.

Familiarity with a variety of machinery and equipment used in the plant.

Basic understanding of welding, fabrication, and related tools.

Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.

Ability to follow technical manuals and diagrams.

Proficiency in adhering to safety regulations and protocols.

Additional Information:

Salary Package Budget Range: R500 000 to R600,000 CTC Annualy

Additional Benefits: 13th cheque included in CTC, overtime compensation, company house assistance.
