Job purpose:

To be a value adding member of a dynamic maintenance team by promoting a safe and healthy working environment, minimizing downtime and assisting with installations, maintenance and repairs of all electrical, mechanical and auxiliary equipment in a safe, functional, reliable condition that provides quality customer service to the maintenance planning function.

Responsibilities:

Perform scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a range of printing machinery and equipment. Conduct thorough inspections to identify potential issues and proactively address them to minimize downtime. Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and operators to ensure efficient production processes. Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems, utilizing your expertise to develop effective solutions. Install, align, and calibrate new equipment, ensuring proper integration into existing systems. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and repairs performed. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machinery performance and reliability.

Requirements:

A relevant trade certification as a Millwright or similar technical qualification. Proven experience as a Millwright in an industrial setting, preferably within the printing or manufacturing industry. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude Working on turning/ milling machines Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to preventive maintenance. Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision work. Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Flexibility to work standby Own transport
