Job Description
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Matric certificate or equivalent
A valid Millwright Trade Test Certificate (Mechanical and Electrical certificate linked to NQF Level 4)
A valid driver's license
Medically fit to work underground
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
Minimum 10 years' experience as a qualified Millwright on trackless equipment
Excellent knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems (up to1000V)
Demonstrated experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance and fault finding on trackless machinery and 1000V DB boxes / system connected to TMM equipment
Proficient in the maintenance, repair, and installation of all components on trackless machinery
Demonstrated experience with Sandvik drill rigs / Normet Charge up - Spray mech fleet
Proven track record in safety leadership
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health and Safety Act regulations, manufacturing, and company standards.
Ensure mechanical equipment in the trackless environment is maintained to the highest standard to ensure excellence in availability and utilization.
Perform maintenance, repairs, and inspections on underground TMM equipment
Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
Ensure that condition monitoring of equipment and schedule and planned maintenance are conducted timely and effectively
