Job Summary Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on mining machinery and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective solutions.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and prolong the lifespan of machinery.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and maximize productivity.
• Utilize hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment to perform tasks effectively.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report any issues or findings to the maintenance supervisor.
• Comply with all safety regulations and follow standard operating procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Participate in training programs to stay updated with the latest industry practices and technologies.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new mining equipment when required.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to less experienced technicians.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Millwright, preferably in the mining or heavy machinery industry.
• Certification as a Millwright or a relevant mechanical trade qualification.
• Strong knowledge of mining machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
• Adherence to safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Willingness to work in a physically demanding and sometimes challenging environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with good communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
