Minimum Requirements

Grade 12/Standard 10 Technical (Essential/Minimum) N3: Engineering Relevant (Essential/Minimum) Trade: Millwright MQA/QCTO (Essential/Minimum) 2-3 years applicable technical and maintenance experience within a heavy industry, production, mining, or pyro-metallurgical environment (Essential/Minimum) Psychometric assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro) Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro) Valid Public Driver's License: Code B (Essential/Minimum) Competency in Medium Voltage Switching (Essential/Minimum) Completion of Core MQA Modules Assessments and On-the-Job MQA Modules Assessments (Essential/Minimum) Proficiency in programming of circuits, panels, PLCs, and related equipment

Duties & Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)/Mine Health and Safety Acts (MHSA) and all safety regulations. Conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on equipment, ensuring adherence to planned maintenance schedules. Program and maintain circuits, panels, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and related equipment according to technical manuals. Identify and solve equipment faults and issues while conducting regular testing and monitoring. Manage the control and safe operation of medium to high voltage switchgear ensuring adherence to safety standards. Inspect tools, equipment, and vehicles to ensure they meet safety standards and are in optimal working condition. Report and rectify any identified defects or hazardous situations in a timely manner. Transfer knowledge and provide guidance to trainees and artisan aides to enhance skill development. Plan and secure necessary parts and tools to prevent production delays and ensure continuity in operations. * Foster a safe work environment by adhering to all health and safety practices and promoting good housekeeping.
