We're seeking a visionary Microsoft Cloud Team Lead to champion innovation and excellence in the dynamic realm of cloud technology. Your leadership is pivotal in harnessing the full potential of cloud solutions. In this role, you'll be at the forefront, guiding, managing, and nurturing a team of cloud professionals. Your responsibilities encompass overseeing daily operations, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance, and providing mentorship, support, and growth opportunities for your team members. Recognizing that collective expertise drives success, you'll ensure that the team's efforts not only boost productivity but also meaningfully contribute to the company's overall achievements. Additionally, you'll play a crucial role in implementing robust security controls, compliance standards, and risk mitigation strategies to safeguard client trust and data.

Type: Hybrid / Remote

Area: Johannesburg or Cape Town

Salary: Up to R70 000 pm ctc

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, inspire, and guide the Cloud Support team, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented work environment.
  • Establish transparent team objectives, metrics, and growth plans aligned with company and client requirements.
  • Evaluate team contributions, provide constructive feedback, and identify growth opportunities for team members.
  • Supervise daily operations, ensuring efficient handling of client requests, incidents, and escalations while meeting service level agreements and industry standards.
  • Monitor team performance metrics, proactively enhancing service quality, including response times and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other teams to facilitate seamless issue resolution and alignment on supported technologies.
  • Act as the primary client contact, tailoring support services to unique client needs, and attending client meetings to ensure ongoing satisfaction and retention.
  • Improve operational processes and support procedures for enhanced efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Implement quality assurance measures and maintain compliance with standards and best practices.
  • Update documentation and training materials to promote knowledge sharing and skill development.
  • Foster a collaborative environment through cross-training and mentoring.
  • Collaborate with HR on team recruitment, onboarding, and training.
  • Present regular reports to senior management, showcasing achievements and recommending improvements for the Cloud Support team's effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 7 years in IT Engineering/Services.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading technical teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Azure (Architecture, Design, Implementation, Support, Monitoring, and Management) for a minimum of 3 years.
  • 3 years of experience with Microsoft 365 (Architecture, Design, Implementation, Support, Monitoring, and Management).
  • Minimum of 1 year using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for automated testing, provisioning, etc.
  • 1 year of experience in Azure Kubernetes (AKS) platform administration.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104).
  • Designing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions (AZ-305).
  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert.
  • Microsoft 365 Messaging (MS-203) or equivalent.
  • Microsoft 365 Administrator (MS-102) or Microsoft 365 Identity and Services (MS-100) and Microsoft 365 Mobility and Security (MS-101).
  • Microsoft Cloud Security.
  • Microsoft Azure Security Technologies (AZ-500).
  • Microsoft 365 Security Administration (MS-500).
  • Microsoft Security Operations Analyst (SC-200) or equivalent.
  • Previous Microsoft MCSE/MCSA traditional on-premises infrastructure qualifications or equivalent industry experience would be beneficial.
  • A bachelor's degree or diploma in a relevant field, such as computer science, information technology, or equivalent industry experience would be advantageous.
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Valid Code B South African driver's license.
