Metal Machinist

. The successful candidate will report directly to the

Project Manager

.

Key Purpose

To produce or repair precision parts using both manual and automated equipment and accurate measurements.

Responsibilities

Sets up and operates machine tools to shape and form metal stock and castings to fine tolerances, using detailed drawings and specifications. Measuring components to ensure accurate fit of manufactured components. Turning accuracy to within 0.01 mm Experience with Lathe including a CNC Lathes. Fanuc control experience. General Drilling, Milling and Grinding. Ability to work on a variety of machines.

Qualifications / Experience

N3/N4 National Certificate in Mechanical Engineering Turner Trade Test (or related Machinist/Tooling)

Minimum 5 Years experience within a similar environment

Servicing the steel industry previously as a Machinist would be an advantage One CNC software an advantage

CNC experience non-negotiable
