Job Description
Our client has a opportunity available for a Mechanised Miner based in Mpumalanga.
Requirements:
- Matric or NQF 4 equivalent qualification.
- Blasting certificate of competency.
- MQA Fall of Ground campaign certificate of competency would be advantageous.
- Underground medical certificate of fitness.
- 3 to 5+ years' experience in underground trackless mining.
- Working knowledge of health and safety procedures, policies and records.
- Direct and supervise drilling and blasting activities per shift.
- Perform employee capacity building and performance management.
- Support the optimization of the shaft.
- The planning and controlling of the crew.
- Ensure health and safety standards are always adhered to.
- Ensure that correctly completed time and attendance sheets are handed in monthly for accurate calculation of wages.
