Our client in the Manufacturing Industry, based in Port Elizabeth, is currently looking to employ a Mechanical Services Engineer.

Requirements:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and/or trade tested Mechanical Fitter (Minimum N6).
- A certificate or diploma in supervisory management and/or a proven track record in a similar position.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar position.
- Above average computer skills.
- Hydraulic and Pneumatic experience is essential.
- Must be able to read CAD drawings.
- Must be prepared to work standby and call-out duties.
- Tolerance for stress and the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
- To maintain the plant and ensure that uptime is at a required standard.
- Control Maintenance costs according to the budget.
- Purchasing of Spares and Equipment.
- Manage projects.
- Liaison with suppliers.
- Implementation of all Safety aspects within the Plant.
- Investigate and make recommendations with regard to improved performance of plant and machinery.
- Must be strong on decision making and problem solving; finding ways to improve efficiency of an operation.
- Manage artisans with regards to performance, discipline etc.
- Training and development of staff.
- Stand in for the Plant Engineer in his absence when required.
- Dealing with all Engineering aspects within the department, e.g. planned, preventative, breakdown maintenance and stock levels of spare parts.
