Job Description

Minimum Requirements:

• B.Sc. Eng/ B.Eng/ B.Tech degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum of 8 years engineering experience in the delivery of Capital Projects in a Petrochemical environment.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience gained in an Engineering Contractors design environment working in a multidisciplinary engineering project team.
• Thorough knowledge of Petrochemical engineering design codes (and software), policies, standards and best practices
• Computer Literacy in Caesar II, SmartPlant 3D, CAD & CFD packages, PRCI Battelle Analysis, Ansys Fluent, Matlab, Bentley
• Strong design piping/mechanical engineering with Sasol South Africa Operations (process plant and/or pipelines)
• Working knowledge of Project Stage Gates and its requirements
• Previous Sasol Partnership Contract Knowledge

Job Requirements:

• Bulk of experience must be in delivery of Capital projects the Petro-Chemical environment.
• Interfacing and/or engineering working experience with Sasol as an added advantage
• Understand all aspects of projects and be able to coordinate and maximize efficiency
• Thorough management knowledge, organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills
• Responsible for mechanical/piping engineering and design processes including planning, coordination and integration with other disciplines.
• The ability to work with multiple projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices
