Mechanical Machinery Design Engineer

Job Description
Our client, a well-established and progressive machinery and equipment design and fabrication company, specifically focused on the FMCG/Packaging sector, seeks to employ a qualified and experienced BSc or BEng Design Engineer to join their R&D design team in Cape Town.
Please note this role is suited to a candidate, who has either a BSc or BEng Mechanical Engineering qualification, and a creative background in machine design and problem solving
KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION:
- You will have completed a BEng and BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering, coupled with 2-5 years experience in machine design experience working on CREO.
- A background in research and development and PLC programming will be highly advantageous
- You will have proven experience in producing drawings, bill of materials, conceptual designs and assisting with schematic drawings of control systems.
- You must be able to supervise installations on site, problem solve effectively and have excellent communication skills
- The ability to travel locally and internationally is essential for installation and commissioning purposes.
- You must have a valid driver's license, a clear credit and criminal record and your own reliable vehicle.
