Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Mechanical Engineer to support engineering projects within the mining and minerals processing industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering practices, project experience with leading EPCM companies, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute mechanical designs, specifications, and system layouts for mining and minerals processing projects.
• Conduct equipment selection, procurement, and installation planning.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and analysis to validate designs and resolve technical challenges.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, and safety requirements.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, including designs, reports, and drawings.
• Support project commissioning, handover, and troubleshooting processes.
• Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.

• Education: B.Eng or B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering preferred; BTech in Mechanical Engineering will also be considered.
• Certification: ECSA registration is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience in the mining and minerals processing industry, preferably with EPCM companies such as DRA, Worley Parsons, TWP, Hatch, RSV, Wood, METC, or SGS.
• Industry Knowledge: PGM, Chrome, Base Metals Concentrator, and Platinum Smelter project experience preferred.
• Project Experience: Experience with Anglo American/Anglo American Platinum projects is beneficial.
