Job Description
MECHANICAL FITTER
An EME based in Pretoria East, Waltloo is looking for an energetic, sharp, dedicated and disciplined MECHANICAL FITTER to join their team.
The following are the minimum requirements:
Trade test (Red Seal) Mechanical Fitter qualification as a minimum qualification. N3 or equivalent Proof of apprentices at accredited institutions. Experience with operating automated material handling systems (Conveyor systems, Sorting systems, SCADA) Eskom/Sasol/Mining experience is an advantage. A minimum of 8 years' experience post qualification.

Skills and Competencies required
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills In-depth knowledge of centrifugal fans Understanding of fan curves Proficiency in fabricating, installing, and maintaining large-diameter ducting, including wear-back techniques on bends and tees. Knowledge of pneumatic conveying pipelines is an added advantage. Ability to interpret engineering drawings Basic gas and arc welding and proficiency with oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting. Proficiency in isolating equipment electrically and mechanically. Safety-first mindset is of paramount importance. Problem solving skills Team management Punctual
