Main duties and responsibilities
Facilitating practical work in well-equipped workshops
Plan and conduct practical sessions, laboratory exercises, and workshops to reinforce theoretical concepts and develop students' practical skills in mechanical engineering
Performs highly-skilled mechanical workshop functions and other technical duties in support of coursework.
Creating curriculum material
Lesson Preparation.
Lesson Delivery in class.
Setting of tests and assessments.
Marking.
Capturing of marks on college LMS system.
Sets up, maintains, and organizes mechanical workshop
Assists students with setting up experiments and other learning exercises, and with the use of equipment and materials
Maintains appropriate safety and hygiene standards
Maintains required documentation related to laboratory activities
Manages equipment and materials inventories.
Guide students with the use of operating workshop machine tools such as lathes, milling, drilling and welding etc.
Deliver basic workshop skills classes to student groups to train them on the use of tools, for example power drills, jigsaws etc.
Proactively review workshop stocks and ensure that relevant materials are available for research and student project activities e.g. aluminum, steel, PVC etc.
To undertake any other duties as required by the Academic Manager to support teaching and learning activities.

Outstanding command of English, with clear written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational skills and attention of details.

Deadline driven, with the ability to work in a high pace environment
Minimum Requirement
Diploma Mechanical Engineering
Motor Trade Theory Advantageous
Sound subject knowledge and work-related applications
