This is a full-time position with competitive annual compensation ranging from R900K - R600K, depending on experience and qualifications. Responsibilities
- Plan, design and develop mechanical systems in building services
- Conduct feasibility studies and apply principles of mechanical engineering to design systems
- Perform cost estimation and time management for the projects
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and architects to ensure timely and satisfactory project execution
- Manage on-site inspections, testing and commissioning of equipment
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
- Keep up-to-date with latest developments in mechanical engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- At least 7 years of experience in building services
- Professional Engineering (Pr.Eng) certification preferred
- In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection
- Familiarity with project management software, such as AutoCAD and Revit
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
