About the Role
The company is seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join its dynamic team. This individual will be engaged throughout the product development lifecycle from initial research and conceptual design to manufacturing and documentation. The ideal candidate should have a solid engineering background, proven experience in mechanical design, and proficiency in SolidWorks.
Minimum Requirements

• BEng / BSc / BTech in Mechanical Engineering
• At least 6 years of experience in mechanical part and equipment design (specifically conveyors)
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (3D modelling and design)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities
3D Design & Technical Documentation

• Create detailed part models, assemblies, and technical drawings using SolidWorks
• Produce high-quality renderings and assembly instructions following internal standards

Conceptual & Engineering Development

• Develop innovative mechanical system concepts
• Work with senior designers to finalise concepts into production-ready designs

Manufacturing & Quality Assurance

• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure manufacturing accuracy
• Maintain and manage Bills of Materials (BOM) within the ERP system
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards

Technical Writing & Documentation

• Prepare manuals, spare parts lists, and other technical documentation

Team Collaboration & Troubleshooting

• Work closely with project managers and fellow engineers to create effective solutions
• Identify design flaws and propose practical improvements
