Mechanical Design Engineer - Heavy Manufacturing
Are you ready to take your design skills into heavy industry and work on large-scale, high-impact projects?
We're looking for ambitious Mechanical Design Engineers who are eager to grow their expertise in heavy manufacturing design.
What You'll Do:
- Take part in the design, development, and improvement of complex mechanical systems and equipment used in high-volume manufacturing.
- Use 3D CAD tools to create robust designs that can handle demanding industrial environments.
- Ideally also having used Autodesk or Matlab and or Solidworks and or AutoCAD and or FEA
- Support project engineering from concept to commissioning, ensuring designs meet technical, safety, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with senior engineers, production teams, and project managers to deliver engineering solutions that make a real impact.
- BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering (essential).
- Minimum of 2-3 years' relevant experience in Mechanical Design and/or Project Engineering.
- Strong 3D CAD skills with exposure to manufacturing environments.
- A passion for engineering innovation, problem-solving, and learning in heavy industry.
- Python and or JAVA or C++ would be an advantage
- FEA experience would be an advantage
- Gain hands-on exposure to large-scale manufacturing systems.
- Be mentored by experienced engineers who will help you grow into a senior role.
- Work on projects that push the limits of design and make a real contribution to South African industry.
