Technical certification: Diploma or trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics or Heavy Equipment Maintenance.
Experience: Minimum 3-5 years working with construction or mining equipment and Trucks.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
Problem-solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues quickly and effectively.
Physical fitness: Capable of handling physically demanding tasks in outdoor and workshop environments.
Communication: Clear reporting and teamwork skills.
Key Responsibilities
Routine maintenance: Perform scheduled servicing, lubrication, and adjustments on yellow fleet machinery.
Diagnostics: Identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and technical manuals.
Repairs: Repair or replace defective parts, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and braking systems.
Safety compliance: Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Record keeping: Maintain accurate service logs, repair records, and parts inventory.
Emergency support: Provide on-site breakdown assistance to minimize downtime.
Collaboration: Work closely with operators, supervisors, and other mechanics to prioritize repairs and optimize fleet performance.

Environment: Workshop and field-based work, often outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Schedule: Full-time position with occasional overtime and weekend work depending on project demands.
