to lead our Total Rewards Advisory Services project. The successful candidate will serve as the Project Leader, overseeing remuneration benchmarking, job evaluations, compensation analyses, and the review of policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with best practice standards and organisational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the project and oversee delivery of all remuneration advisory services.
Develop and implement a comprehensive project management plan with clear milestones and stakeholder roles.
Direct salary and wage movement benchmarking, job evaluations, and total rewards analysis.
Guide the review and development of remuneration policies, strategies, and procedures.
Present remuneration findings and recommendations to Executive Committees, Board Sub-Committees, and Bargaining Forums.
Ensure compliance with South African labour legislation and international best practices in total rewards.
Mentor and support Remuneration Specialists on the project team.
Oversee the establishment and training of the grading committee.
Minimum Requirements:
Master Reward Specialist Designation
as recognised by the
South African Reward Association (SARA)
(non-negotiable).
At least
12-13 years' experience
in remuneration, total rewards, or compensation management.
Demonstrated track record in leading large-scale remuneration advisory projects.
Strong project management and leadership skills, with experience engaging executives, boards, and labour forums.
Excellent analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.
Desirable Competencies:
Experience working with state-owned entities, the public sector, and/or large corporates.
Ability to manage complex data, conduct wage gap and affordability studies, and advise on both monetary and non-monetary rewards.
Commitment to fairness, equity, and non-discriminatory labour practices.
