Minimum Requirements
Grade 12/Standard 10 Technical qualification (Essential/Minimum)
N3: Engineering Relevant (Essential/Minimum)
Trade certification in Fitter/Turner (MQA/QCTO) (Essential/Minimum)
Certificate: Basic Management Program (Essential/Minimum)
N4: Technical (Recommended/Desirable)
At least 3 years of applicable technical and maintenance experience within a heavy industry/production/mining environment (Essential/Minimum)
Psychometric Assessment (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
Certificate of Fitness (Essential/Minimum) (To be conducted by Exxaro)
Possession of a public driving license, Code C (Essential/Minimum)
Competency in Core MQA Modules Assessments (Essential/Minimum)

Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain and repair machinery to ensure optimal functionality, adhering to safety and efficiency standards.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform high-level fault finding to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
Execute regular maintenance schedules and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and industry regulations.
Conduct condition monitoring, laser alignment, and testing to maintain equipment performance and safety.
Provide on-the-job training and knowledge transfer to fellow artisans and new team members.
Stay updated on new technologies and innovations to implement improvements in mechanical systems.
Ensure compliance with Safety Health Environment and Community (SHEC) programs and report incidents promptly.
Assist in project planning and execution to efficiently manage routine and scheduled maintenance tasks.
Inspect tools and equipment to ensure they meet safety standards and statutory requirements.
