Purpose
The Master Data Analyst is responsible for collaborating with and supporting the organisation's usage of Masters Data (MD) in Southern Africa. The MD Analyst will specialize in supporting the flow of MD in the organisation whilst ensuring adherence to established MD processes, governance, integrity, efficiency, security, and availability of Master Data. This includes support to various Business functions requiring guidance, resolution of issues/errors or corrections to Business Partner (BP) Master Data. This includes queries across systems related to MD, to ensure alignment and strategy towards a single source of MD.
Key Performance Areas
- Master Data Governance
- Collaborates with business for adherence to design, policy, guidelines, and procedures.
- Supports Master Data Manager in developing processes and standards.
- Conducts MD governance audits and evaluations.
- Master Data Management
- Reviews policies, guidelines, and procedures for all MD types.
- Contributes to MD process improvement and automation.
- Guides MD operations and validation teams.
- Continuous Improvement
- Monitors and reports on data quality.
A Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Information Services, or related discipline is required. Knowledge of FMCG, supply chain principles, and SAP systems is essential. At least 5 years of data-related project experience is preferred.
The ideal applicant will have excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and a passion for achieving results while maintaining data integrity.
