In achieving our employment equity goals, we give preference to applicants from designated groups, and we encourage people with disability to apply.Job description:The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key functions:Responsibilities:Maintaining PR governance processesQuality communication content and applying plain language principlesWriting and copy checking internal and external content and articlesIdentifying and capitalising on opportunities to reinforce PSG culture and valuesPositively profile Marketing within business and promotion of positive team dynamicsPR support to internal marketing campaigns/social medica contactAd hoc short-term support to Marketing teamLiaising with various stakeholders within the business (Management, advisers, operational support departments)PR agency management, producing and editing content, providing support to media and PSG SpokespeopleMaximising communications content: Promote reuse of existing contentLiaising with company spokespeople to facilitate comment where needed/draft holding statements and responsesReview PR strategy and tailor approach as neededFacilitating and setting up media trainingMinimum requirements:Completed relevant communication and PR degree5 -7 years relevant communication and journalism work experience (financial industry preferred)Proficient in both spoken and written English and at least one other of the official South African languagesComputer literacy (MS Office)Competencies required:Communication: Oral and WrittenConsistency and attention-to-detailAbility to exercise sound judgement in line with overall marketing strategyDiscernment/JudgementDrive for ResultsResilience, working under pressure and prioritisationAbility to build internal and external relationshipsHow to apply:Candidates interested must apply on the PSG Careers website https://www.psg.co.za OR browse vacancies https://bit.ly/3bD2iAk by no later than 11 August 2023.
