Job purpose :



The Forum Company is South Africa's foremost venue and experience brand. We are seeking a visionary Brand Experience Manager to elevate how our brand lives in the world--through events, visuals, partnerships, and storytelling. This role blends creative leadership, experiential strategy, and brand stewardship to shape unforgettable moments that express who we are: Africa's leading curator of meaningful experiences.

About the role

The role is office based in Johannesburg.

This is a management role but requires full hands-on execution of tactics working with a small team. The candidate must be willing to be involved in all aspects from strategy to tactical execution. Taking ownership of bringing new product portfolio to market, collaborating with the sales, operations and kitchen teams.

The role requires imagination, creativity, energy, enthusiasm and a high work ethic - all driven by a love of the work you are doing and your active role in The Forum's success, and the promotion of the unique, personalised experiences we deliver to our clients.

What we are looking for:



We are looking for a passionate, purpose driven marketing specialist who understands, and has proven experience creating and executing content-led brand campaigns and developing personas that enable highly targeted marketing activities that grow brand awareness and deliver revenue growth.



Key requirements:



3-4 years in a marketing or content creation Manager role

Experience in the luxury goods and/or high end FMCG markets desirable.

Degree in either film, marketing, fine arts or the visual arts

Proven experience in developing creative campaigns or curating experiences.

Excellent collaborator and communicator.

Passion for shaping culture, spaces, and memorable moments.

Key tasks and outcomes:



Marketing and brand development across all products under the forum brand

Overall brand and corporate identity management

Development, execution and accountability for the company's marketing plan -including setting and delivering targets, and goals with monthly reviews

Develop and implement strategies to sell and market our products and services across current and new markets and sectors

Maintain a positive image and reputation of the brand

Client database management

Management reporting on market trends and changes

Operational

Marketing support for product team

Internal event support

Updating collateral and development of new marketing and sales materials

Budget management

Budget development and control, in conjunction with Finance

Long term maximization of profitability by delivering a good return on marketing investment



REQUIREMENTS

Skills/knowledge



Marketing and sales management

Presentations and communication

Public relations

Social media management/ marketing

Knowledge of the hospitality industry

Web analytics

Strong writing skills

Thorough understanding of visual messaging

Experience of storytelling through all mediums
