Responsibilities
Strategic Marketing Planning:
Develop and implement a marketing strategy aligned with business objectives and market opportunities, while adhering to Shariah principles.
Brand Management:
Oversee the development and consistency of the brand across all platforms and communications.
Campaign Management:
Plan, execute, and manage integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, and social media channels.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
Leverage data analytics to enhance customer engagement and retention through personalized marketing strategies.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure cohesive marketing execution.
Digital Marketing and Innovation:
Drive digital marketing efforts, stay current with emerging trends, and implement innovative digital tools.
Loyalty Programs:
Design and implement Shariah-compliant customer loyalty programs aimed at retention and added value.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):
Lead CSR initiatives in alignment with Islamic values and organisational objectives.
Budget Management:
Allocate and manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring compliance with financial controls.
Advertising and Media Relations:
Manage relationships with advertising agencies and media outlets, overseeing all communication strategies.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
Certification in Islamic Finance or Shariah Compliance (advantageous)
7-9 years of marketing experience, including 2-3 years in a managerial role
Experience in banking or financial services, preferably Islamic banking
Proficiency in media communications and public speaking
Strong knowledge of Islamic banking principles and Shariah-compliant marketing
Understanding of South African banking regulations and financial trends
Expertise in digital marketing, CRM systems, and brand management
Willingness to travel nationally and attend events as required
