Job Description

The industry organization, Fresh Produce Exporters Forum, runs a number of initiatives to bring about transformation in the fresh fruit export industry. The FPEF Graduate Placement Program places high calibre graduates in junior commercial, logistics and technical (post-harvest quality management) roles at various South African fruit export companies for one year, potentially leading to long term career opportunities. The aim of this programme is to integrate a growing group of talented black individuals into the commercial and operational heart of the industry.
A FPEF member, a family-owned producer and exporter of the finest quality Lemons, Grapefruit, Valencia Oranges and Macadamia nuts is seeking to hire a Marketing Administrative Assistant intern to be based at the offices in Letsitele, Limpopo.
Role Overview -
As a Marketing Administrative Assistant, you will support the exporter's citrus export marketing team by ensuring the accurate fulfilment of administrative tasks and processes. This includes their market access registration, stock and logistics management, export administration, and debtor's control.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Export and General Marketing Administration:
  • Capture and maintain the Export Fruit Database and Processing Fruit Database.
  • Generate and distribute relevant export documentation and data to logistics partners and customers.
  • Review and capture account sale information and logistics costs per pallet/container.
  • Stock Management & Administration:
  • Manage stock from pack instruction through to the arrival of fruit.
  • Obtain relevant data/documents from packhouses.
  • Handle in-port stock management, vessel planning, bookings, and export documentation with logistics partners and customers.
  • Debtors' Control:
  • Issue invoices and statements to customers.
  • Monitor and capture payments received.
  • Maintain the Export and Processing Fruit Debtors System.
  • Manage customer and service provider relationships professionally and efficiently.
  • Additional Duties:
  • Attend relevant industry workshops.
  • Execute duties accurately and timely as per the employer's performance management system.
Requirements:
  • Educational Qualifications:
  • NQF Level 4 qualification.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Business Administration is advantageous.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Computer and system literate (Excel, Outlook, AgrigateOne, Phytclean, etc.).
  • Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Mathematically inclined and process driven.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Good interpersonal and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Strong ability to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively during periods of increased pressure.
  • Must have the ability to work remotely and/or over weekends / after hours when required
  • Self-driven, self-motivated, and enthusiastic.
  • Team player with the ability to work efficiently with others.
  • Must be a South African citizen.
  • Must be a BEE graduate.
  • Must be under the age of 30 years.
