Job Summary

Manufacturing Factory Manager (SAP)- Building Supplies, Pretoria Hammanskraal, Rneg + Company Car + Provident + Medical + Profit sharing

  • Degree in either: (Mechanical/Electrical/ Chemical / Metallurgical Engineering)
  • Post Graduate Degree - Financial (advantage)
  • Trade Test Millwright
  • Proven experience in a 5 years managerial or supervisory role within a factory.
  • Certification in production and inventory management as well as quality control, advantageous
  • Sound knowledge of industry-specific factory equipment.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
  • This position is based in an industrial factory with automated machinery.
  • For this position, you must be medically fit and mobile.
  • Age range:
45 - 50

EXPERIENCE:

The factory manager's responsibilities include scheduling building and equipment maintenance as needed, monitoring the performance of factory staff, and ensuring that all production orders are completed in a timely manner. This position is responsible for enforcing compliance with health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Developing and implementing innovative strategies to streamline factory operations.
  • Screening, recruiting, and training new factory workers.
  • Collaborating with quality control managers to establish and execute quality control processes.
  • Ensuring that factory machinery is in good working order.
  • Analyzing production data to identify and resolve any production issues.
  • Preparing production reports and submitting them to key decision-makers.
  • Regularly inspecting finished products to determine whether they meet established quality standards.
  • Motivating factory workers to achieve factory targets continually.
  • Ensure personal productivity and performance meets required standards.
  • Plan, draw up and execute a production schedule
  • Determine and order the resources that are required and ensure stock levels remain adequate
  • Monitor productivity rates and product standards and implement a quality control programme
  • Ensure customer orders are completed on time and to budget and that quality standards and targets are met
  • Work with managers to implement the company's policies and goals
  • Review worker performance and identify training needs
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
  • Ad hoc duties, as required.
