Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop the subsidiary in alignment with HQ framework.
  • Lead the subsidiary's business development efforts, identifying new markets, opportunities, and partnerships.
  • Set and monitor the achievement of targets and KPIs.
  • Ensure the subsidiary's strategy is responsive to industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activity.
2. Sales and Revenue Growth:
  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast sales and revenue growth
  • Drive revenue generation by optimising sales processes and customer acquisition strategies.
  • Foster strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to enhance customer loyalty and retention.
  • Oversee the creation and execution of sales campaigns to drive brand awareness and business growth.
  • Innovate sales approaches to maintain and increase market share.
3. Financial Oversight:
  • Manage the subsidiary's P&L, ensuring profitability while optimising operational costs.
  • Budget preparation and presentation to the board
  • Monitor financial performance, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
4. Team Management and Development:
  • Lead, Inspire, and develop a high-performing sales team.
  • Establish sales targets, monitor individual and team performance, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Hire, train, and retain top talent to build a strong sales force.
  • Foster a positive organisational culture that encourages teamwork, accountability, and achievement.
5. Stakeholder Communication and Reporting:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the subsidiary and parent company leadership.
  • Report regularly to the parent company on subsidiary performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate with senior leadership across the organisation to align sales goals with overall business objectives.
6. Operational Excellence:
  • Identify areas of operational inefficiencies and lead initiatives to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
  • Implement best practices in sales operations, including CRM systems, reporting tools, and data analytics.
  • Ensure that the company complies with all relevant legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
7. Market and Industry Expertise:
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies and represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance brand visibility and reputation.

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Engineering and an MBA
Experience:
  • Overall 15-20 years of experience with at least 10 years of sales experience in an automotive, capital equipment or retail Industry, with a significant portion in senior leadership roles
  • Experience in both B2B and B2C business
  • Proven experience managing a sales and aftermarket team within a larger corporate structure.
  • Experience in driving turnaround of business units into a long term sustainable profitable one
  • Demonstrated a stable double digit revenue growth, realized through strategic initiatives
  • Experience driving, supporting and growing a dealer channel operation across multiple countries
  • M&A Experience is an added advantage
  • Experience working with a European MNC is another added advantage
