My client, based in Bloemfontein is currently awaiting applications for Managing Director of the Company. This position presents a unique challenge to a dynamic, highly motivated, and self-driven individual. The Managing Director will be responsible for the strategic guidance and overall management of the organisation. The successful candidate will report directly to the Board of Directors. • Bachelor's degree with a Postgraduate qualification, preferably in Management, or any equivalent tertiary qualification from a recognised South African tertiary institution or accredited by The South African Qualifications Authority
• Proven management experience in a senior position
• Knowledge and experience of administrative and financial business management, drawing up budgets and control over their execution and marketing skills
• Computer literacy: the autonomous use and application of spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software
• Valid driver's license (Code B)

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Afrikaans and English
• Excellent human relations, external and internal, including media liaison
• The ability to function effectively under pressure
• Strategic planning, critical thinking and adaptability
• Effective time management and prioritization of tasks
• Impeccable business ethics, including the management of confidential data and information

Recommendations:

• Proven knowledge of the livestock industry in general and the stud industry in particular
• Proven contact in the livestock industry and relevant authorities
• Knowledge of, and training in animal breeding and related sciences
• Knowledge and skill in the use of digital platforms for meetings
• Knowledge in the following legislation: Animal Improvement Act, Animal Identification Act & Companies Act
