Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 is essential.
A relevant diploma/degree in Food Technology, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, or related field is required.
Minimum five (5) years' experience within an operational/ production role preferably in a poultry processing and or abattoir environment.
Understand and implement policies, procedures and processes.
Strong knowledge of poultry processing operations and yield optimization techniques.
Task driven with excellent planning, organising and time management skills.
Demonstrate excellent communications skills (written and oral).
Excellent literacy and numerical skills with accurate working ability and close attention to detail.
Apply good analytical skills and sound judgement to make informed business decisions and suggest improvements and solutions with a proactive and problem-solving mind set.
Interpersonal skills with the ability to form professional, positive and collaborative working relationships with personnel at all levels and to act in the best interest of the company.
Demonstrate knowledge of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management and general finance and budgeting principles.
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively.
Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and public holidays.
Computer literate with a high proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with production software and relevant programmes such as Meat Matrix will be advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities
Monitor and analyse daily, weekly, monthly yield and production target performance across all processing areas.
Identify variances, losses, and inefficiencies in the production process and recommend corrective actions.
Implement strategies to reduce waste, improve product recovery, and maximise profitability.
Update the costing model together with the finance department.
Implement systems to measure and control yield.
Set capacity standards on all processing functions and equipment.
Work closely with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to ensure operational targets are achieved.
Prepare yield reports and present findings to senior management.
Conduct training and awareness sessions with line staff to improve yield performance.
Ensure compliance with food safety, quality assurance, and health & safety regulations.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the processing environment.
