About the Position

SARS is looking for highly skilled, service orientated, self-motivated, experienced individual to work within Taxpayer Services in Bloemfontein. The individual should be an inspiring leader with the ability to build and work with a great service team, display steward leadership while providing guidance and great customer service to the taxpayers and relevant stakeholders. The prospective manager should have the ability to create a conducive work environment that motivates employees in the branch to achieve SARS strategic intent aligned to Branch Operations to support Voluntary Compliance by making it easy for compliant taxpayers and hard and costly for non-compliant taxpayers. Executed effectively, this role will create the required competence within SARS under Service Obsession to achieve its strategic intent and deliver positive and impactful results against clear objectives of the organisation in service delivery.

Job Purpose

To enhance the alignment of the SARS strategic intent by overseeing the day to day running of Branch Operations to meet the expectations of clients, in service delivery. However, the Branch Manager should ensure that all daily activities are always in line with the organisation's strategic objectives.

Education and Experience

Minimum Qualification & Experience Required

Relevant Bachelor's Degree / Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) (Accounting and or Management) AND 8-10 years' experience in a similar environment (Customer Service / Branch Operations) (Branch Operations), of which 3-4 years at junior management level

OR

Senior Certificate (NQF 4) AND 15 years related experience in a similar environment (Customer Services/ Branch Operations), of which 3-4 years at junior management level
