Job Title: Manager: Service

Motus Welkom is looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as a Manager: Service. This position involves overseeing the service department operations to ensure the timely and efficient completion of vehicle repairs and maintenance.



Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the service department, including scheduling and assigning work to technicians, monitoring progress, and ensuring high quality standards are met. Develop and implement strategies to improve service department efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability. Maintain and analyze key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations. Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and other departments within the organization. Provide effective leadership, coaching, and support to service department staff. Exceed all targets and labour sale objectives through efficient workshop operations. Ensure efficient equipment control, assets control and fluent administration processes. Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and retention. Lead and manage service team. Create and Leverage Collaborative Partnerships. Ensure compliance with the Original Equipment Manufacturer and Lindsay Saker policies as well as industry guidelines. Achieve industry leading standards of customer care, process efficiency and cost control.


Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within the automotive service industry. Strong technical knowledge of vehicle repair and maintenance processes. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Proven ability to drive continuous improvement and achieve operational goals. Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and service management software. Valid driver's license. Recognized Motor Trade plus N6 or Technical Diploma. Exceed all targets and Labour sale objectives through efficient workshop operations. Ensure efficient equipment control, assets control and fluent administration processes. Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and retention. Lead and manage service team.

Skills and Expertise

Proven track record in managing people and working on OEM software systems. Computer skills, preferably MS work processing, Drive and preferable VWSA operating systems. Financial-reporting and forecasting skills. Motor industry and Workshop management knowledge. People management. Business, Sales, and Service Process knowledge. Professional & Technical Expertise in Vehicle Service & Repair Management. Proven track record in managing people and working on VWSA software systems. Computer skills, preferably MS work processing, Driver and preferable VWSA operating systems.
