This is a pivotal role within the Activations and Events Division, hence the incumbent needs to be highly organised, meticulous and must have exceptional project planning and execution skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for but not limited to manage promotional and in-/out store activities (from start to finish). They must be flexible and able to execute all objectives against the client requirements.
Prepare the project plans and schedules to ensure exceptional execution. Working closely with internal and/or external stakeholders to build a comprehensive talent pool that can be drawn upon. They will have the opportunity to work in a cross-functional capacity with other departments to resolve issues quickly and effectively, while also promoting a culture of continuously improving client services through execution. It is imperative that this person be proactive in the management of the function.
They will guide and assist their team/s to act in accordance with all processes from start to end. This individual will be responsible for managing the relationship between the company (DigiWorx) and client/s through delivery of results against set objectives. It is vital for the Senior Marketing and Activations Manager to possess good knowledge of activation and event methods and techniques relevant to allocated account/s within the business. This position contributes to the development and implementation of business strategies, policies and best practice.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Upsell and identify other operational and commercial models, don't just action in accordance to brief.
Hire and development of teams through HR guidelines and processes to ensure that there are no vacancies.
Ensure team/s are trained on all relevant internal and external products/Services/Systems/Processes).
Execution in line with client contract deliverables and supplier management.
Monitor and measure the team members on a daily/weekly/monthly basis against set KPI's and implement control measures to ensure that defects are managed and always minimized.
Using business management systems, checks daily outputs and compliance.
Budget management.
Internal and external reporting at the standards that are required by the business.
System and process enhancement to ensure that operational excellence is always achieved.

Activations / Event Management
Activation and Event execution including administration allocated.
On-site management and execution of the highest level.
Conceptualising and presentation of the event options according to the brief, appropriate target audience to the event.
Planning from inception to the end with allocated resources by detailing who, what, where, when and how.
Project managing and execution according to the approved roll out plan and resources.
Client liaison by ensuring that the client is well informed about the full progress of the activation / event with approval from the manager.
Sourcing of venues, suppliers and innovate elements for the execution.
Management of all staff and 3rd parties at the activation / event.
Follow-up and responding to all activation / event specific phone calls and emails in a professional and courteous manner.
Effectively communicating tasks and reasonable deadlines to manager and coordination between all other departments/suppliers.
Oversee the set up.
Be pro-active in identification of problems and enhancement of tasks/events.
Compilation of post-activation/event reports when required.
Scheduling ops meetings, site visits, supplier meetings, etc.
Health and Safety
Health and Safety officer for DigiWorx (compliance, risk management and awareness).
Always ensure compliance at all activations and events.
Stakeholder Management
Build solid relationships with partners and ensure involvement/input on all applicable client pitches and submissions.
Manage and develop favourable client relationship by ensuring the client's needs and expectations are not only met but surpassed.
Understand your client/s business inside out and identify gaps which we could capitalise on by formulating solutions and proposals to close the gap.
Reporting and Insights
Produce client operational/debrief reports as per the agreed frequency and actively be involved in the systemization of all reports, no manual input.
Analyse data to provide solid insights to client/s as to where improvement can be achieved.
Ensure that all reports are actioned in line with required standards.
Ensure that all work-related files are stored in the Shared Drive and according to the procedural guide.
Financial Management
Compiling of detailed cost estimates as per client brief received.
Ensure that all budgetary and administration activities for self and team are in line with the company's processes, policies and procedures.
Ensure transparent internal financial discussions about cost estimates and budgets.
Budgeting for all activities within the predetermined parameters and PO's generated.
Overseeing procurement administration by ensuring the appropriate cost-effective suppliers as per policies and procedures.
Monitor unsuccessful quotations and identify ways to improve (this will form part of weekly stats report).
All vacancies must be filled/replaced within the required timelines to maximise billings.
Talent Management
Attract, retain and grow the talent in the category.
Build and maintain a talent pool of promoters and keep all relevant information up to date.
Support knowledge transfer, knowledge sharing and up skilling through relevant and appropriate learning/teaching channels.
