Our client who has been established in South Africa and investing on behalf of clients and has grown to become one of Africa's largest investment management companies. This company is an investment management firm focussed on building long-term wealth for their clients. The company's primary goal is to achieve long term wealth creation for its clients.

They now seek a manager xe2x80x93 retail operations xe2x80x93 operations analytics to join their team. Report directly to Exco. Superb, friendly, inspirational manager!

JOB DESCRIPTION WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

  • You will be required to be passionate about operational excellence and driving change in retail operations in the company retail business;
  • You will be required to have experience managing multiple complex projects, as well as leading and developing people and specifically business analysts;
  • You will be responsible for providing direction to the team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and operational excellence;
  • You will be responsible for the operations analytics roadmap, backlog and working with the stakeholders to ensure that the projects the team takes on consist of elements that add value to our clients and the business. These projects will be strategic in nature spanning across the platform and will largely be aimed improving scale and efficiency for the retail business;
  • You will be required to provide direct line management and mentorship to a team of analysts;
  • You will be required to assist in prioritising projects to meet the strategic objectives of continuous improvement and tactical business objectives;
  • You will be required to prioritise / plan the associated work by assessing scope of projects as well as the business analyst capabilities within the team;
  • You will be required to communicate with stakeholders on team progress and provide enough information to allow for informed business decisions;
  • You will be required to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple stakeholders and resolve conflicts;
  • You will be required to manage the operations analytics roadmap and communicate this roadmap to the team and business stakeholders;
  • You will be required to engage with business stakeholders on their product vision, business / client needs and what system enhancements are required to support their needs;
  • You will be required to challenge stakeholders on their assumptions of how they envision business and systems processes to work;
  • You will be required to communicate with stakeholders on team progress and provide enough information to allow for informed business decisions;
  • You will be required to assist in enforcement of project deadlines, and methodologies;
  • You will be required to support and drive implementation of projects;
  • You will be required to recruit, develop and retain quality staff;
  • You will be required to participate in general management of retail operations division.
CORE COMPETENCIES REQUIRED, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • You have a minimum of 2 years current, relevant people management experience (with direct reports);
  • You have a minimum of 5 years current, relevant business analyst or project management experience;
  • You have a reputation of consistent strong performance;
  • You have industry experience this would be a distinct advantage;
  • You have experience working with the company's retail IT systems - this would be a distinct advantage;
  • You have experience working with business analysis frameworks and methodologies;
  • You have the ability to multitask across different projects with experience in project management;
  • You have experience with stakeholder management and ability to communicate well at all levels throughout the organisation.
