Reporting to the Director, Retail Operations

Purpose of the job:
This senior role will challenge you to apply your significant and professional retail operational experience, skills and energy to develop and grow this fast expanding operations zone.

Reporting into the Director: Retail Operations you will need to bring your proven experience, influence and enthusiasm so that you can actively develop and grow a Regional Management team and significantly add value to the performance of existing fast growing stores and have the energy and strategic leadership to manage numerous new store developments.

This role calls for a conscientious, hardworking, detail orientated leader with the personality and vision to establish immediate credibility and impact in the operations zone.
Key Responsibilities

General management of operations zone, together with a team of 3 Regional managers and 16 Area Managers

Merchandise management:

Visual display

Store plans

Stock management

Renovations and new store openings

Customer service:

Escalated complaints

Manage customer service ratings for operations zone

Add value to in store and E-Commerce customer experience

Team/Performance Management:

Manages the personal growth and business acumen of the team

Recruit, select, train, coach, counsel and discipline employees

Actively develop and grow a Regional & Area Management team

Drive and Achieve Performance targets:

Sales Budget

New Accounts

Managing staffing Hours

Trading densities

Controllable expenses

Shrinkage

Admin ratings

Understand budgets and control expenses

Coordinates activities that affect operational decisions and business requirements

Analyze data to inform operational decisions or activities

Analyze financial records to improve efficiency

Direct organizational operations, projects, or services

Liaise with relevant Head Office stakeholders in order to share ideas and improve efficiencies

Qualification and Experience

As a senior leader, experience of at least 15 or more years in a senior fashion retail operations role is critical.

Preferably a business related qualification, Diploma or Degree (Tertiary)

Extensive experience in the retail fashion industry within a multi-brand environment

Experience in implementing strategies and vision

Good administration and merchandise skills

Excellent people management and IR skills

Good planning and organizational skills

Good interviewing and coaching skills

Results driving personality with a skill for leading and motivating a large team

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong analytical abilities and problem solving skills

Competencies

Eager to get involved and understand issues at a base business level

Self-aware and strong sense of 'doing the right thing for the businessxe2x80x9d

Confident yet humble

Demanding of standards and delivery; able to take tough decisions in difficult situations

Ability to see the big picture whilst managing the detail
