MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Member of MANCO team, executing the MMC strategy with specific responsibility for optimal availability of plant and integrity of infrastructure as well as providing technical coaching & management of engineering staff
BACKGROUND INFORMATION REGARDING THE JOB
The Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the sustainability of the Process Machinery. Reporting directly to the COO, this role leads a team of various specialists and six supervisors. The primary responsibility is to optimize resources, processes, methods, and practices within the maintenance team to achieve plant targets, cost efficiency, and compliance with HSEQ policies.
The plant is a fully integrated beneficiation process comprising multiple stages and operates continuously for 365 days. The process stages include ore milling, ore reduction in rotary kilns, leaching, purification, and electrowinning.
MMC operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Success in this role occurs when the desired equipment uptime and throughput are achieved at the lowest cost. Risk assessments, work planning and execution will form part of your daily routine.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree or National Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical (heavy current).
• GCC (Government Certificate of Competence for Factories).
• 10 years' experience within heavy industry.
• 8 years' senior management experience.
