The overall responsibility of the Inventory Manager is to manage and coordinate the flow of WIP (Work in Progress) and FGI (Finished Goods Inventory) in consultation with Ops Planning, Commercial and Distribution.

The role of the Inventory Manager is to ensure the timeous flow and distribution of WIP and FGI through the use of service providers on and off site. Material is delivered to local customers, break-bulk terminals and/or Intermodal facilities for containerization, destined for the export market which aims to support the businessxe2x80x99s month end invoicing target.

Job Specification

The Inventory Manager will be responsible for the following;

• Manage and coordinate the flow of WIP and FGI from the Production lines to the warehouses. This includes the backward moves of FGI to the Plant.
• Manage the WIP and FGI Error List. Resolve queries to ensure material flow
• Conduct quarterly and bi-annual stock takes
• Manage and coordinate FGI logistics claims and customer returns
• Coordinate the External Processing process
• Manage the WIP and FGI Scrap Process. Route scrap coils for processing, arrange transport of coils, ensure scrap transfers are arranged, bins loaded and scrap transferred to Raw Materials Handling.
• System improvements on FGI controls throughout the supply chain
• Manage the paper recycling function
• Manage the Kilo Weighbridge Operations

• National Diploma / Degree in Operations / Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering
• Minimum of 3 years experience in Operations / Logistics
• Knowledge of production / operations planning, inventory and logistics processes
• Advanced Microsoft office skills
• Systems: P6/Supervisory
• Strong critical, analytical and problem solving skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
