Manager - Curriculum Development and Management (JB3288)
Central Durban, KwaZulu-Natal
R30 000 R35 000 CTC per month (Negotiable, dependent on experience)
Duration: 12-month Fixed Term Contract

Tertiary education distance learning provider requires the expertise of an experienced Manager Curriculum Development to ensure that every facet of Curriculum Development and Management adheres to regulatory requirements in higher education and other pertinent regulations. This entails overseeing all aspects of the Department, including program and curriculum development, as well as the management of existing programs and modules.

Minimum Requirements:
Completed Masters degree.
8 or more years relevant experience specific to higher education institutions.
3 or more years experience as a manager.
Proficient in designing, developing, and accrediting new programs.
Expertise in policy formulation, strategy development, and procedure implementation.
Comprehensive understanding of the legislative framework for Education and Training.
Extensive experience in regulatory affairs and academic quality assurance processes within higher education.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Academic governance and management - Lead and oversee the Curriculum Development and Management, ensuring QAF and IAF compliance.
Conduct gap analyses in relation to the QAF and IAF.
Accreditation - Oversee the development of programs and curriculum aligned with the institution's strategic vision, while ensuring the quality assurance of qualifications for accreditation. This includes verifying that the program accreditation criteria meet all requirements of the Higher Education Qualifications Sub-Framework.
Monitor the evaluation of programs and modules to ensure their relevance and contribution to student employability.
Actively engage in CHE Audits and site visits.
