Job Description

The Management Information (MI) Analyst is responsible for analysing, managing, and delivering accurate and timely operational and business reporting. This role ensures data integrity, effective communication with stakeholders, and supports business decision-making through insights, trend analysis, and well-designed reporting solutions.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS



1. Database and Report Management



Identify relevant data sources to support reporting needs.

Agree on specification formats with stakeholders to ensure consistent data and reporting standards.

Gather, validate, and collate information into accurate management information reports.

Ensure accuracy of exception capturing and enable real-time reporting.

Set up, design, and automate reports based on stakeholder requirements.

Document MI Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all supported Business Units.

Train and equip MI Administrators on newly designed reports, ensuring smooth handover of MI SOPs.

Document stakeholder requirements clearly for new or updated reporting requests.

Extract data from SQL and other data sources in the required format.

Provide recommendations on effective data capturing and storage to enhance reporting accuracy and timeliness.

Monitor data sources to ensure uninterrupted and efficient data delivery to stakeholders.

Manage and maintain daily delivery and validation of operational reporting.

Design operational report requirements in Power BI for relevant Business Units.

Attend meetings as the liaison between Data Engineers and Data Analysts, ensuring that changes, issues, and improvements are communicated effectively.

2. Stakeholder Management



Attend stakeholder meetings, provide progress feedback, and capture issues requiring attention.

Provide insights and feedback to the BI Team on areas requiring focus or improvement.

Communicate reporting updates, changes, and timelines to stakeholders.

Guide stakeholders on reporting requirements within the Enterprise Information Platform.

Collaborate with Data Analysts and Data Engineers to design new data requirements beyond existing datasets.

3. Analysis



Interpret data to identify meaningful trends, risks, and patterns.

Investigate and document the root causes behind identified trends.

Analyse and document business processes, providing recommendations to address inefficiencies or weaknesses.

Provide trend analysis, insights, and actionable recommendations to relevant stakeholders.

4. Data Security



Maintain data standards aligned with business requirements, business policies, and data protection legislation.

Adhere to the organisation's information security requirements, policies, and procedures.

Control access to database and reporting environments through appropriate permissions and privileges.

COMPETENCIES



Knowledge



2 years Information Management experience, preferably in a Call Centre environment

Understanding of databases and data frameworks

Proficiency in Excel (Advanced)

Proficiency in SQL Scripting and SQL Server

Proficiency in SQL Server

Proficiency in SSIS/SSMS

MS Power Query (Advanced)

Minimum of 2 years MS SQL experience
