Our client is a major player in the logistics and fleet management space, known for operational excellence, innovation, and delivering end-to-end transport solutions across South Africa.
As the Management Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in providing financial insights, improving cost efficiency, and driving decision-making across operations. You'll partner closely with fleet, operations, and executive teams to ensure that financial targets and business objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
• Analyse financial performance, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Support operational teams with cost analysis, fleet performance metrics, and profitability reporting.
• Lead financial planning processes and drive continuous improvement in reporting accuracy and turnaround times.
• Monitor cash flow, cost centres, and project spending to ensure financial discipline.
• Develop and implement financial controls aligned with operational and strategic objectives.

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• BCom Accounting / Finance Degree (CIMA preferred).
• 3-5 years' experience in a management accounting or cost accounting role, ideally within logistics, transport, or fleet management.
• Proven ability to partner with operational teams and influence business outcomes.
• Strong Excel and ERP system skills (experience with Sage, Syspro, or SAP advantageous).
• Analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
• Energetic, hands-on, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
