Description:
The suitable candidate, who will report to the Maintenance Manager, will be responsible for the effective maintenance and repair of all machinery and equipment at the Silos/Animal Feed Plant, steam boiler, compressor and generator.
Responsibilities:
Mechanical and maintenance skills and knowledge Good knowledge with regards to the following areas of competence: Electronics especially the maintenance of electric motors, generators, and compressors*
Welding and cutting*
Pick up elevator, transfer chains, conveyor belts*
Auger and hammer mills*
Pill machines and steam boilers*
Good communication, planning- and organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure Good knowledge of installation, wiring and troubleshooting Planning and execution of maintenance function Effective control of personnel and inventory
Requirements:
The ideal candidate has an appropriate qualification/proof of competence
At least three years of relevant experience
A valid Code EB (Code 08) driver's license
Health and Safety training will be beneficial
