Assist/support the Operations Manager with implementation of production processes and procedures. Productivity improvements and project-based activities, improve quality and safety, and reduce operating costs. Support delivery of the KPIs and ensure preventative actions are taken to maximize success. Work on many phases or sub-tasks of projects or entire projects of moderate complexity, with results impacting on project completion. Work under general supervision, reviewed at project milestones and/or on completion by Senior Management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Millwright, BTech or equivalent Experience in Electrical and Mechanical Commitment to work towards professional accreditation with an industry related body. Minimum of 5 years work experience in a manufacturing environment or similar role Ability to design processes and layouts. Understanding of production costs to include waste, downtime, scrap and re-work. Work under minimal supervision with frequent work reviews Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes Excellent understanding of engineering, scientific and other technical information Understand lean manufacturing. Uses basic concepts and techniques of the profession. Understanding of Health and Safety practices Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure/cost of poor quality
