Maintenance Planner
Job Description
To continuously improve the plant overall equipment effectiveness by administering effective asset management systems and procedures, particularly in the areas of information management, work planning and control, spares and materials acquisition as well as optimisation of engineering resources in conjunction with the Engineering Manager. Ensure that the execution of planned preventative maintenance schedules for statutory inspections, such as boiler and lifting equipment, are prioritised. Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements with regards to Good Engineering Practices (GEP) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) as well as compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 85 of 1993 as amended.
Required Learning
Trade tested artisan with N4 as a minimum qualification.
Desired Qualification ND/BTech/BEng/BSc Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
5 years experience within an FMCG engineering/manufacturing environment with at least 3 years planning experience.
Pharmaceutical industry experience will be advantageous.
Knowledge of preventative maintenance principles and systems.
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft office suite packages and ERP experience, preferably Pragma Onkey 5.
Knowledge of project planning and scheduling concepts, including the use of project management software.
