Type of Position:

The role of the Maintenance Planner is to ensure that all plant, machinery and equipment are maintained to the needs of the Body Shop in a proactive, safe and efficient manner.
and Responsibilities

• Design, control and maintain the centralized maintenance system for Body Shop.

• Together with the Maintenance supervisor, ensure that the equipment servicing is planned and carried out at the recommended frequencies.

• Plan and schedule all weekend work and shutdown activities.

• Raise, plan and control all Works Orders arising from the floor daily activities and feedback from PM schedules.

• Plan and review PM scheduling for all equipment in order to meet the required OPR targets.

• To ensure all servicing of equipment is planned in order to meet legal requirements and according to the OHS Act

Education and Experience

• National Diploma or degree in Engineering (Automation, Electrical or Mechanical, Mechatronics qualification) (e.g. trade/National Diploma would be preferable).

• Have a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in an automotive / vehicle manufacturing environment.

Skills, Attributes & Other requirements

ESSENTIAL:

• Shop floor maintenance experience will a distinct advantage.

• Experience in maintenance planning or project field would be an advantage.

• Proficiency in MS Office required.

• Proven excel proficiency is required (Power BI will a distinctive advantage).

• Experience in prevention and predictive maintenance.

• Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate at all levels within VWSA and with local and OEM equipment manufacturers.

• PM scheduling system experience would be an advantage e.g. Maximo, SAP PM.
