Maintenance Manager

Job Description
We are a prestigious Wine Estate in Stellenbosch looking for a motivated and skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee and coordinate all maintenance operations across the estate. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment, infrastructure and systems are kept in excellent working condition to support seamless day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a maintenance schedule to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Supervise, train and lead the maintenance team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and structural issues as they arise Manage the maintenance budget, monitor expenses and control inventory of spare parts and tools. Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs and compliance documentation. Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental standards across all maintenance activities.
Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience in a maintenance management or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and structural systems. Hands-on problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize urgent repairs. Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills. Relevant technical qualification or trade certification. Project Management experience is an advantage. Basic computer literacy and admin skills.
