Job Summary ??? is partnering with a luxury private game reserve in Limpopo to recruit an experienced This key role is responsible for ensuring that all lodge infrastructure, systems, and facilities are maintained to the highest operational and aesthetic standards expected in a luxury safari environment. The successful individual will oversee all technical aspects of property maintenance, including preventative programs, repairs, safety systems, and contractor management. The position requires both strategic planning and practical execution, ensuring that every area of the reserve runs efficiently and supports an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, solutions-driven professional who thrives in a remote environment, with the ability to manage people, processes, and resources effectively. They should bring solid technical knowledge, a calm and structured approach to problem-solving, and the confidence to lead a small but capable maintenance team in delivering consistent, high-quality results. Requirements Previous experience managing the full maintenance function within a luxury lodge, hotel, or resort environment Relevant technical or trade qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering advantageous Strong background in planning, implementing, and monitoring preventative maintenance schedules across plant, machinery, and infrastructure Skilled in managing electrical, plumbing, mechanical, refrigeration, and HVAC systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance Proven track record leading and mentoring maintenance teams, conducting appraisals, identifying training needs, and maintaining high safety standards Demonstrated experience managing service contracts, coordinating external contractors, and monitoring performance against agreed SLAs Experienced in budgeting, cost control, and monthly reporting on departmental expenditure Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental legislation with the ability to maintain all statutory compliance documentation Previous experience conducting routine inspections, identifying potential issues, and implementing proactive solutions Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through Reliable; professional, and self-motivated individual with a practical, hands-on approach Salary - On application - Live-in ?? ???? - Although we appreciate all applications received, we will only reply to those candidates who have the background and experience required.
