A well-established distribution company is looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager with a strong mechanical and electrical background. The successful candidate will bring over a decade of experience managing maintenance operations in fast-paced environments, with a proven track record in leading technical teams, overseeing preventative maintenance, and driving equipment reliability and performance.
Responsibilities:
Manage and lead a team of artisans and maintenance staff to ensure all equipment and systems operate effectively
Oversee and perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repairs
Lead and coordinate equipment installations, refurbishments, and plant upgrades
Implement preventative maintenance strategies and respond to unplanned breakdowns
Conduct root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues and enhance operational efficiency
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company maintenance standards
Approve procurement requests, manage budgets, and maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS
Recruit, develop, and evaluate maintenance personnel to maintain team performance and competence
Requirements:
Trade Tested Boilermaker
Matric
Strong technical knowledge across a range of industrial machinery and automated systems
Proficient in CMMS, project coordination, and root cause analysis
Excellent planning, leadership, and problem-solving skills
