Requirements of the Position

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Maintenance Manager (premium establishments)

Trade Qualification highly advantageous

Excellent all-rounder (Electrical, Plumbing, Building, Carpentry and Landscaping)

Physical maintenance experience

Grade 12 (essential)

Driver's licence (essential)

MS Office Suite

Responsibilities of the Position

(Summary)

Schedule current and upcoming work assignments; distribute and sort assignments into and according to identified priorities, including emergency repairs.

Coordinate and manage services, maintenance and repairs.

Coordinate and manage services, maintenance and repairs to all appliances including stoves, refrigeration units, and laundry equipment and machines.

Attend to maintenance related resident queries timeously

Organize and schedule the workload according to business activity and identified priorities.

Implement the property's preventative maintenance schedule.

Manage all upkeep tasks, keeping a daily log of activity and work orders.

Set up and monitor periodic visits relating to maintenance contracts.

Conduct daily, weekly and monthly safety inspections. Management of departmental budget. Coordinate and manage all maintenance and gardens. Efficiently and effectively assess maintenance requirements. Assist with the management of the landscaping and irrigation suppliers. Meeting regularly and follow up with the developer's contractors on outstanding jobs. Management and regular checks of the security features around the estate, access control, electric fence, CCTV, fire system, evacuation drills, etc. Be on call 24/7 for emergencies.
