Our client has an opportunity available for a Maintenance Manager in the Confectionary department based in Wadeville.

Requirements:

• Maintenance systems and best practices.
• Fault finding and root cause analysis techniques.
• Hygiene and food safety standards.
• Understanding of confectionary processing and bagging.
• Manufacturing related legislations related to maintenance.
• Leadership and managerial principles and practices.
• Financial acumen to support planning and budgeting.
• Performance management.
• 5 to 7 years' experience as a Maintenance Manager at any FMCG site.
• 3 to 5 years' Mechanical or Electrical Engineering experience.
• 3 to 5 years working with plant related PLC systems.
• Qualified Electrical or Millwright Artisan with GCC.
• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Confectionary manufacturing certificate.

• Ensure high performance culture and teamwork in the maintenance team.
• Ensure a conductive and safe working environment.
• Ensure adherence to the preventative maintenance plan and systems as per the company standards in collaboration with the Site Manager.
• Ensure full compliance to all health and safety, food safety and OSH Act requirements.
• Monitor confectionery processes and ensure adherence to baking equipment parameters.
• Support cost effective operations by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in collaboration with the relevant stakeholders.
• Procure, manage and control essential spares, stock and tools in line with budgets and lead team requirements.
• Plan and organise resources to support the execution of preventative maintenance, breakdowns, audits and daily operations in line with budgets and team targets.
