Maintenance Handyman

on a permanent basis at any of our

Tyger Valley campus.

Purpose of the role:

To ensure that all planned and reactive maintenance takes place timeously.

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12; Technical Certificate will be an advantage Technical certifications in maintenance or a related field Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical work and general maintenance practices. Ability to read blueprints Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address issues in a timely and efficient manner. Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and resolve maintenance issues before they escalate. Quality & quantity control of the assets on site. Install and repair fixtures and appliances, such as sinks, lights, fans, and doors. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and adhere to safety protocols when using machinery and tools. Collaborate with contractors and other maintenance staff on larger repair projects. Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections performed. Assist with landscaping and exterior maintenance as needed Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations. Act as designated driver based on campus requirements, including but not limited to after hours and weekends
